Description: Each roadway segment contained in this dataset is under consideration by the Active Transportation Division for mobility or safety improvements. If pursued, projects may affect lane widths and/or number of lanes. The decision to implement a project at any of these locations may or may not be determined by a public process in addition to engineering judgement. The project lead listed for each roadway segment can provide the status of the project and assist in identifying coordination opportunities.

Description: Protected Streets are streets that have paved within the last five (residential) or seven (collector/arterial) years or have an RCI grater than seven (collector/arterial). There are strict guidlines for justification of cuts and restoration of Protected Streets. There is also a street damage recovery fee assessed for the life of the pavement that is lost.
